Enhancing the visitor experience at Royal Collection Trust

The brief

As a visual designer for the Royal Collection Trust, I created designs that enhanced the visitor experience at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Windsor Castle. My work included creating materials for family experiences, developing a custom wallpaper for the family room, and supporting design of a multimedia app for visitors to Holyrood Palace. My designs helped bring the rich history and culture of these historic sites to life.

My focus was to enhance the visitor experience through engaging and informative designs. My work ranged from assets for in-person family experiences at Holyrood Palace, to educational materials.

I designed interactive puzzles and activity sheets which helped children engage with the history and culture of the palace in a fun and informative way.

I also had the opportunity to design and illustrate a custom wallpaper for the entrance to the family room. This full-length wallpaper spanned the entire corridor and was filled with intricate details that visitors could get absorbed in and enhance their learning experience.

I also played a key role in designing a multimedia app for visitors to Holyrood Palace, in collaboration with ATS Heritage. My designs included visual elements that helped bring the app to life, and this was an early brief that started my UX practice. The app provided users with an immersive and interactive experience, allowing them to explore the palace's rich history and cultural significance in a dynamic way.
